    It's pretty funny they thought sanctions would be as effective in Russia as the countries they normally bully with them. Like, they became a superpower under the same conditions

      This is the funniest part. Feudal backwards country to industrial powerhouse under 100% their own power and the west seems to think that sanctions can end them?

      It can hurt them, it can really slow them down while they figure out how to get things on the road again and solve inefficiencies, it absolutely can not stop them. They need a coup to do that.

        The West has also kneecapped the oligarchs by seizing assets and turned ordinary Russians against the West by encouraging a knee-jerk hatred against Russian culture and history, so they've played themselves.

        Maybe they should fund the largest Russian opposition party. That'd really own us, the Communists.
