        In Atlas Shrugged, the capitalists left to form their own epic libertarian society, and society fell apart.

        In Russia, the (western) capitalists left but (some) things continued on as normal.

          Most critical things will continue as normal in the mid-to-long term since Russia has critical resources, domestic industrial capacity, and the ability to trade with China for anything it can't produce.

          Imagine the same exodus of Western capital from the UK, for instance, and the picture would be far more grim.
