I kid, I kid, I totally gacha. If you ever need help, I gacha back. Truth is people who argue in favor of this game are usually just trying to have a gacha moment, but I gacha point.
Its monetization strategy is abhorrent, but at least it actually has a game attached to it. That's more than I can say about most of them, even if it's very hollow praise.

The most insidious aspect of the Genshin series is that it doesn't suck ass to play. If the damned thing would just retail like a normal game, I wouldn't feel so slimy playing it.

My friend constantly wants me to join them in playing it, but it's not really my thing. (she's probably what most people on here would call a "weeb" of some sort, meanwhile I haven't watched much anime and the closest thing I've played to an anime inspired video game is ace combat lol.)
I tried playing CK2 with friends earlier and it didn't go well lol. Completely different type of game I know.
Also Gran Turismo going more "gacha" with Gran Turismo 7 is disappointing as well on the topic of this kind of games.
I didn't pay a dime and I had fun while my interest lasted. It's weeb BOTW. It's still predatory as fuck though even if you can enjoy it at baseline.

yeah if you're not big into spreadsheet simulator games RPing as a family of nobles or whatever other grand, which they aren't, strategy, doubtful they are, games, laughable that is, paradox games makes.

I dunno. I've liked how they've taken it away from the whole ck2 but anime lately with three houses. If we're taking about how CK2 is played by players and not CK2 in concept of course.

It's not a bad game and I've put together a solid team without spending money. Story quests have way too many hours of shitty dialog though.
Yeah it varies wildly but it is not that bad. The worst part is the mute dumb MC period. They hired all these good VAs and they all go to waste. Paimon is fine but the game needs a proper MC.
and it's not even like you can design your own character and your dialogue choices hardly matter anyway. Makes no sense.

I've heard it's fun, but apex is the only f2p game I'll play. Afaik, it's one of the very few that are entirely cosmetic based purchases.
Dota has a secondary cost which is your soul and sanity which all filters up to valve to make gaben immortal
