Always has been, even dogs. I never heard of a no-pet rule in any rent-homes here in the Netherlands. Having better rights for tenants has its benefits.

But I never looked into it, so who knows how it works. But with how often you hear about American landlords 'checking up' on the tenants, it already feels like worlds apart.
