I read this when it first came out and "Organized Jihadi Group" literally used to just say "ISIS"

Is this how I find out y'all have an organized militia doing cell-like terror attacks this whole time and I've just been over here posting like a lib?

Thank you I love these kinds of guys doing papers about cth and other subreddits and their little sociograms and tables with info from reddit analytics websites

Might be referring to John Brown Gun Club or SRA which used to get brought up all the time.

Neither are affiliated with us or r/CTH, they were just popular resources to share when a common discourse was about how you can't cede gun-ownership to the right.

To be clear neither are militias. They are explicitly for educational or social purposes.

In fact both very explicitly do not engage in any kind of demonstration or protest. The closest thing I can think of are like self-organized affinity groups, but that basically amounts to saying "there are people with leftist beliefs who also do praxis." There's absolutely not a "militia" scene on the left that is in any way comparable to the one on the right (sicko-wistful)

That's not quite true, EFJBGC very visibly counter protested at drag shows and last I heard were in a shitload of trouble with the cops.

There's a reason you don't see any leftist militias.

I always assumed that was why John Brown Gun Club had such a vocal stance against that kind of stuff. Didn't hear about Elm Fork's trouble (though if any branch was gonna do it, I'm not surprised it was them). Hopefully nothing comes of it.

There is no jbgc stance on anything. Anyone can start a gun club and call it whatever they want. The sra is a different thing, they're a national organization with 501c status and cannot take part in any official action.

Tankie is not a term for a hard line Stalinist. A tankie CAN be a hard line Stalinist. But it's more accurately described as anyone vaguely left wing who does not unquestionably believe State Department propaganda.

It used to be a hard line Stalinist descriptor though. Back in 2020 it might still have meant something like that. The word entered common public vocabulary pretty recently and has quickly devolved in meaning since then

The first time I saw Social Justice Warrior in use, it hadn't yet been appropriated by the right. At the time, it referred to what we today call an online larper or clout chaser with left aesthetics

I have seen enough to know that this feasibly could have been produced by the CIA, Pentagon or McKinsey consultants.

Its by "Rutgers University Miller Center on Policing and Community Resilience" which is a copaganda thinktank as far as I can tell

Terminally lib meets the ivory tower (terminally academic). Remember, even posting good thoughts in a basement is a major power level move to these sorts

God knowing these people see me, a terminally online shitposter, as a terroristic threat to american hegemony is so validating.

Yep, even the lurkers feeling or worse yet thinking 'ooh I sympathize with that but just that' or 'that's so true', gets them quivering in fear like watery jello. Its hilarious in a way since its not even the material, just thinking in their mind 'bad thoughts' is enough to be a threat to warrant millions upon billions to 'stop it', but alas the common lib metaphysical idealist mistake of assuming from thought comes action, when its not so simple A->B dichotomistic causality and all that, but if they understood that the conditions for scholars would be very different.

Anacho-socialism has lone wolf terror AND organized militias? I picked the wrong tendency.
