the libs will absolutely lose their minds, the russia shit will go into overdrive, it will be glorious.

and tbh in terms of actual material conditions Trump was pretty standard for US presidents, maybe even slightly above average (still complete dogshit and a war criminal of course).

No. My material conditions haven't gotten better under Biden but if Trump or any of the worse monsters waiting in the wings win there will be a concerted effort to make me into even more of a second class citizen. Biden might not publicly call out the bullshit that we're seeing in Florida and all the other red states with their anti-trans laws, but at the same time these laws don't have a chance of passing federally. Put Trump or any of the potential monsters like DeSantis into power and these laws could very go federal. It's honestly terrifying what could possibly happen as trans people are continuing to be the right's culture war punching bag and the fact that some libs might lose their mind over it doesn't matter in the face of the material harm that will come to pass should Trump become president again.

Accelerationism, so far, has not actually helped anyone that needs helping. I'd rather not have marginalized people hurt even more then they are now for the sake of lulz or whatever.

Biden is blue MAGA, but I'd rather :trump-anguish: keep whining in whatever social media :pit: he's wallowing in on any given week without any further access to political power.

right but I think this persons point was that Biden does so much police militarisation and funding of ICE that he isn't notably better than Trump in that regard and Trumps opposition to foreign wars actually makes him a better president than Biden overall.

Biden has been worse than Trump on police and militarization. But people forget that Trump was worse than Obama (who also sucked btw).

I just liked how Trump was so terrible at doing foreign intervention. Like damn they really couldn't even CIA Venezuela properly? That and he woke China up and soon America won't even have their semiconductor supremacy to hold over other countries.

like withholding $7bil of foreign reserves from afghanistan leading to mass starvation. or recklessly escalating tensions with russia. not saying trump wouldn't do the same but the idea that biden is still 'lesser of 2 evils' just aint true imo, especially when it comes to foreign policy.

Honestly both Trump and Biden are terrible for everyone, but even worse would be someone like Mitch McConnell.

Trump is surprisingly one of the lesser evil republicans policy wise which says a lot about republicans because Trump is a corrupt shithead.

The scary thing would be if Biden won again, because he's been worse policy wise then we even thought he'd be.

It's not good either way. The really bad outcome would be Desantis 2024

Biden increased both ICE and defense spending, deported more people, and has been baiting WW3. when are the 'harm reduction' libs gonna go and bat for Trump?

Biden is worse than trump but doesn’t encourage/dog whistle racists. So I would prefer trump lose, just for the sake of marginalized communities.

It’s hard to draw the line between quiet systemic racism and like out in your face fascist racism for sure… I guess there is no difference, but I know I personally feel safer under Biden. With trump there was a time when I contemplated carrying proof of citizenship at all times in case I got scooped up accidentally by ICE just for being Hispanic

But then I guess with COVID I don’t go anywhere anymore so it’s moot :shrug-outta-hecks:

And that type of stuff still happened and is happening before and after Trump, there’s just less press coverage. So maybe you’re right

It's just quieter, we know ICE has more funding than ever under Biden, so behind closed doors there's just as much hate going on.

But, I understand not wanting to see it blasted at you all the time too

via legislation and an entire career of racist politics, 'tough on crime' Joe Biden has done more harm actually and rhetorically than Trump. why do you think they made him Obama's VP?

No. I mean Trump is funny but I don't think he's better than Biden in any way. I don't want Biden to win either, I just want the USA to stop existing
