In star trek FDR's plan for friendly relations with the USSR went through, the Sino-Soviet split never happens and the USSR isn't toppled by a cold war.
I've never actually watched much of the show this is just the scenario I imagine that would have made it possible.
No, even turbo-optimist Gene Roddenberry couldn't imagine a future where the world's trajectory in 1966 led to humanity adopting a collectivist perspective. There was a horrible war fought against genetically enhanced superhumans and then a full scale nuclear exchange between the east and west that resulted in 1/3 of the planet being wiped out before humans abandoned capitalism.
Vulcans contacted earth shortly after though, posadism confirmed by Star Trek :posadist-nuke:
I don't see how the bell riots happen in that timeline or how that time line fucks up so bad it leads to literal :posadist-nuke:
Leninverse, the fullyautomatedluxurycommunism version of metaverse
I am truly unable to imagine a not horrible version of the "metaverse." It is such a twisted manipulative greedy surveillance enhancing nightmare world (in particular the NFT pushing that is its backbone and intended purpose) that I'm at a loss trying to picture how it could be different.
As part of Worf's backstory, his hometown of Minsk is referred to in both DS9 and TNG as being part of Russia, so Lukashenko should probably watch his back.
Ok, I was thinking about this the other day. Chekov also mentions Leningrad in TOS. Canonically, both of these things either mean that the USSR never fell in the Star Trek timeline, or that Saint Petersburg was renamed Leningrad at some point, whether because the USSR was resurrected at some point, or just because the United Nations of Earth was based and Leninpilled.
Nope, that's Admiral Cartwright. Coincidentally, both Joseph Sisko and Admiral Cartwright bear a striking resemblance to 20th century actor Brock Peters.
