the fact that the most dedicated NFT experts get duped over and over and over again with these basic-ass scams is hilarious to me and really undermines the premise that anything would be more secure on the blockchain
I had a bunch of :reddit-logo: brains telling me the other day that we need to put voting on the blockchain and they had literally no response at all for "what about when all the grannies get their voting passwords stolen"
As someone in IT, the only device in my house that isn't a computer connected to the network is my printer, and I keep a loaded gun on my desk in case it starts making funny noises.
I'm really tempted to try something like that. Take a few people's jpeg wallets and sell that shit to whatever other idiot thinks jpegs are worth thousands of dollars. It could be easy money.
honestly, the kind of person who runs email scams and such is probably on average more based than the grannies that would get their vote stolen, critical support

XKCD is great, sorry sweatie
Maybe if you are a redditor
I remember going on explainxkcd.com to understand the, uh, jokes and at least a third of them took 5 paragraphs of context or more to be explained.
I do like "What If?", though, which answers questions such as What would happen if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90% the speed of light? and What if a rainstorm dropped all of its water in a single giant drop
