Started watching Revolutionary Girl Utena, and holy shit Chuchu is FUCKING ADORABLE! Up there with Pochita from Chainsaw Man.
Who is your cutest anime animal? Bonus points if that anime is also really good.
I feel like this one looks so familiar, whats the anime its from?
It's Kyubey, from Madoka.
You may recognize it as the clear inspiration (well, the face anyway) for Moopsey from Lower Decks.
Nobody's mentioned Kero-chan Cardcaptor yet somehow
ShowI'd also like to mention Chikuwa Yurucamp
ShowI hear OP is great (heh), but arent there like 1000 episodes? Where would I start if I wanted to give it a shot?
I would recommend reading it. It is way better paced. It took me like 3 months to read while the Anime took me like a year to get halfway. Also the manga atm is peak and getting better and better.
The manga is way better paced for sure, and the anime pacing gets almost literally unwatchable ~700 episodes in. I do love the Japanese voice cast though, and there are moments I'd definitely recommend finding and watching the adaptations of once you've read them. You'll know them when you see them
If the length ever feels like a drag you can always take breaks after an arc, though I do recommend people first watch or read to the end of the East Blue saga at least (50ish episodes or 100ish chapters) so they can get a feel for when OP really starts hitting its stride
The East Blue saga is episodes 1 to 50? I might do that after my current watch
1-53 to be exact. Incidentally, OP also has a bunch of small filler arcs that are very skippable, the first one starting right after that in episode 54
He is not afraid to fight for the cutest animal title.

It's my favorite comedy slice of life sometimes Shonen anime. There's a few episodes that are kinda problematic with some cross dressing characters but for a 400+ episode series it's hard to get too shitty about it.
I'm only postinf because I am SHIT FACED AND WANT TO COME BACK TO SWE OTHER ANSWERS LATER
I did. And this thread was a great thing to look at while hung over today
It's an absurdist slice of life that's done in sketches some of which are part of an overall episode story and there's a bit of a season arc (it only got one season). Azumanga Daioh is probably the closest but it's really doing its own thing.
