      they're following along with what their managers believe the youtube algorithm favors, part of that is a person's face in the thumbnail doing a reaction. They're all in direct competition with one another for views, so they're all gonna seem similar

      trying to take advantage of social media algorithms feels like a cargo cult or interpreting shapes on chicken bones
