my first thought was: "but she sometimes comes close to crucifixes, and when she is (rarely) seen in public, it's usually in the sunlight!"
my second thought was: "If I was a powerful immortal vampiric monarch, I would use my influence and vampiric powers to plant false information about the weaknesses of vampires into folklore. This would give me and my fellow vampires an excellent cover by enabling me to come into contact with some of these supposed 'weaknesses' in order to prove I'm not a vampire." :scared:
