Not that this isn't correct, but alienating all military members during a time of upheaval probably isn't a good idea

They're not going to be put off by it once they start coming around, but when they take their first steps towards the left? Yeah, someone who might otherwise become a leftist might get turned off by this.

It's called a "pipeline" because there's some distance between the beginning and the end. What someone considers acceptable at the end isn't the same as what they'd consider acceptable at the beginning, and they can get turned back.

Who says anything about offense? And I'm not talking about this meme, or any one meme in particular, I'm talking about the naive "fuck every troop, especially whatever bastard troop you're related to" vibe, as if pre-emptively eliminating the possibility of getting a bunch of highly trained combatants on our side will do anything but swell the ranks of the fascists. Ignoring them won't make them go away, eventually you have to decide if you want them doing horrible things for you, or to you.

Besides, almost every SRA chapter has a couple former troops, I'm not gonna toss them all out and throw away the millions of dollars of training that they share with us for free just because some memes online said so.

To reiterate my point, "fuck all troops"=morally correct, but tactically a huge fuckup.
