There's a lot of people who are "I am only into fems" which encompasses all identities as long as they're fem and smooth, but I legit nearly never hear of anyone being into androgynous people.

What I'm saying is, I wish everyone was into me.

I'm a cis, hetero dude, but I started buying pink and purple shirts with cute themes (like dogs and hearts). Cuz fuck it.

Pink is the best colour, many people are saying it.

So many generations of men have been robbed.

This is great. Fuck the limited color palette of traditionally masculine clothing.

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Male_Renunciation

The Great Male Renunciation (French: Grande Renonciation masculine) is the historical phenomenon at the end of the 18th century in which wealthy Western men stopped using bright colours, elaborate shapes and variety in their dress, which were left to women's clothing. Instead, men concentrated on minute differences of cut, and the quality of the plain cloth.

I'm into androgyny. But, I also don't have the guts to approach people I don't have something in common with, because then I think that other people think I'm just "looking to score."

Also I'm unattractive, so there's no point in trying.

Tilda Swinton is the living queen of androgyny. There's a lot of people into her.

In my experience, bi people are absolutely foaming at the mouth for androgynous folks, maybe look out for them?

the "literally every woman ever, Hozier, and my boyfriend but UGH as soon as we break up it's over for men" bi girlies are maybe a notable exception but they're an entirely separate topic

I have only ever slept with bi men, but they usually complain about my body hair being too masculine and I feel like they mind my permanent facial hair shadow (I hope the safety razor fixes this, because I hate it too). 🥲 Many bi people I met are only into fem women and masc men too tbh. I tried performing masculinity and femininity to their fullest, but I feel like a fish out of water.

Could be both. The two can be related.

Forgive me, because I admit I am not very cultured in this area. But isn't there a spectrum of androgyny?

I find androgyny to be wildly interesting, and often attractive, but it really depends on personal expression.

Of course, but no one mentions it at all, at least I never see it. I'm tired of masc4masc and "into fems only". I consider myself inherently androgynous and just want to be loved. ._.

fwiw I definitely used to be very attracted to androgenous-looking people, to the point that I considered it one of my types. I'm not sure if I'm less attracted to them now or if I just see a lot fewer now that I'm ~30 than when I was ~20.

"Androgenous" is also one of those words I would never use to describe someone to their face unless they use it first. No matter what I mean by it, it has the potential to carry a lot of baggage if the person doesn't like the label.

I'm honestly into anybody who tops and is nice to me. I do like androgynous people, but it sounds fetishistic to just up and say that, depending on the circumstances.

      anybody who tops

joever * sad bottom noises *

I personally am very picky, but I also have a very wide range of what I find attractive. From bird-like aliens, to flamboyant villains, through daddies to spindly tall men, and more. I only ever found once a man who I was truly attracted to who was attracted to me. I hope it happens again. ._.

Tbh, I think a lot of people suppress their attraction towards androgynous people as a defensive reflex as to not appear as “gay”. It’s probably also the reason that short haired women rile up conservatives so much.

Anyway, androgynous women are hot, femme women are hot, men need to come to terms with the fact that being attracted to women isn’t gay. Shocker, I know.

There’s definitely people who have a fetish for that look. Probably don’t want to be near those types though.

What sort of androgyny? The “lack of gender signifiers” kind or the “conflicting gender signifiers” kind? Because both have their benefits.
