I still can't get over why she was chosen. I mean, I have theories, and all of them just point toward the bottomless pit of cynical politics. You'd think after Hilldawg they would have realized that an uncharismatic rules-oriented woman wasn't exactly inspiring, especially in an age where change was demanded and required.

But then they just dove in a doubled down. Get the living mummy "nothing will fundamentally change" Biden but pair him with a cop that is also a woman and also a POC. Just completely cynical bullshit. Change nothing but the window dressing and expect the masses to fall in line and fawn. Jen Psaki is like that too. Let's get some woman in here who can zing with 30% of the strength of a random AOC tweet and have the media fawn over her so hard that she ended up... announcing she's going to get a job in media instead. Beto is another example except I think he is somewhat committed to politics (for the time being.) The big to-do they made about him standing on tables. Laughable in hindsight. Pete Buttigieg's "we can light up the etc" moment. It's all painfully manufactured by people who truly believe the common man is a mark and it shows.

I think youre just straight up overestimating them, I dont think there was any thought deeper than "Black" + "Women" = "Young people like??? Maybe???"
