Well my plans will be a bit unique because I have dual citizenship US and Syrian. Obviously Syria is not the ideal place to flee to right now, it’s going to take a while for the place to recover and stabilize. There are ok areas of Damascus but that’s about it, and no matter how you slice it it will be a quality of life drop due to sanctions and less job opportunities

Yeah Syria is a gamble right now, but it's good that you have options! Maybe I should look into dual citizenship in general...
