Sure but they would publicize it or have one of the stars bring attention to it if that were what was happening here. Occam's Razor says this is probably just the show getting featured by a Chan thread or an X GOES WOKE YouTuber, spurring review bombing. The same people also spammed positive reviews on Ricky Gervais's new special because he trashed trans people, for instance.

Yes if they felt that removing those negative reviews would spark an outcry that harmed their other affiliated businesses

Amazon's other affiliated businesses are The Internet. Amazon's profits come from running a massive chunk of the internet's cloud hosting and data analytics. Everything else is a loss leader and data collection avenue. The algorithms know exactly who is leaving what kind of review and they are definitely going to use that information in future promotions, my friend.

This is all true, but we were discussing why Amazon might not remove negative reviews, and my point was that them doing so would spark a right wing media outrage that could lead to some chud business owners canceling their AWS or whatever.

                    1. Why would they need to remove reviews when they algorithmically show them in the first place?

                    2. Media outrage is still data for them to collect and profit from.

                    3. Nobody with a bank account large enough for Amazon to care about gives a shit about the culture wars. Amazon's biggest clients are governments and billionaires, not some qanon chud with an etsy shop.

Elon Musk? The billionaires funding Prager U? The rich people who bought George Zimmerman's gun for $200k or bailed out Rittenhouse? I don't think you know how stupid and internet brain poisoned most rich people are. They are literally giving Bari Weiss $800k a year on Substack to post one dogshit column about cancel culture each week.

Those people are rounding errors to Amazon, friend. You're also forgetting just how much it would cost for an organization of consequence to Amazon to move their infrastructure away from Amazon.

And creatives on Amazon don't need our support, they need an alternative to Amazon.

So we're at uncritical support for Amazon because one of their properties mentioned shit that's been known to anyone that actually cared about it for a few decades? At least warehouse employees wouldn't be breaking their bodies as much shipping people's bags of pet food and energy drinks. When there's not much volume to process it's like peace has come to Earth, I would have loved a widespread boycott when I worked there.

Well my plans will be a bit unique because I have dual citizenship US and Syrian. Obviously Syria is not the ideal place to flee to right now, it’s going to take a while for the place to recover and stabilize. There are ok areas of Damascus but that’s about it, and no matter how you slice it it will be a quality of life drop due to sanctions and less job opportunities

Chuds regularly game these reviews to mine for screenshots to manufacture consent. It is not a huge deal, but the reason they all bombed positive reviews on the transphobic Ricky Gervais comedy special was so all these Right Wing channels could screenshot, and broadcast to normies that the professional critics negatively reviewing it were out of touch elites and the masses "knew" Gervais was just "telling the truth" about the "trans agenda." Presenting transphobia as just truth being besieged by elites is intended to shape the public's belief that the marginalized actually have outsized coercive power and therefore their outcries about persecution can be treated with indifference.

I'm sorry to tell you but anybody that would be convinced that trans people are subhuman because they saw a few reviews online or got told that "normal" people were catching on to the conspiracy about a trans agenda, then they'd be not worth having in the first place. We don't need to open our doors to shitty people that once a trans person is a little unkind to them they immediately turn and say why we need to be genocided. Review bombing an Amazon show will do nothing just like review bombing the shitty Harry Potter game that's on the horizon will do nothing and through engaging beyond saying that Rowling is a TERF and the game will fund her TERF ideology gives it more attention than it deserves and even then has more of a positive impact than some Amazon reviews that chuds will ignore to just point out the exact same reviews anyway.

I am not taking about those people, I am talking about the politically uninvolved people those people try to misinform, creating the perception that makes them think things like "You can do what you want to your own body, but just don't teach my kid to do it" or "I am as liberal as the next guy but this canceling of comedians is hurting free speech and making me less sympathetic to their cause"

I'm talking about those politically uninvolved people. What use are they to a movement? They demand that we mainstream our demands for equal rights by simply letting us assimilate into the capitalist system without addressing the foundational flaws in how we approach gender in our society. Rev. King's Letter from Birmingham Jail sums it up nicely.

"First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season."
