I've been recently watching his movies. They pretty much all fall into that "So bad it's good" camp. Timecop was legitimately a pretty decent movie, and bloodsport is just so over the top that it's awesome especially as a fan of MMA. Also, hard target, just hilariously bad and super fun movie with some ridiculous scenes. Also he does a split in like every movie and it's great
Double Impact has twice the Damme content.
Jean-Claude wrote the script himself with inspiration from Alexandre Dumas' 1844 novella The Corsican Brothers.Definitely on the list of movies I gotta watch along with Universal soldier
Please attack me one by one so I can do a crazy jumping spin kick in your head, thank you
I've heard. I am watching John Claude Van Johnson though and it's really good, sad it got canceled
His facial expressions while doing roundhouse kicks in Bloodsport were amazing.
I used to fucking worship the muscles from Brussels as a kid. My goddamn handle for a time was "Jean Claude slam and bamme" The gates have well rusted over at this point, but there was one year mid highschool I practically dedicated my life to being able to perform a perfect bloodsport style spinning split kick and by God in early college it was worth it as a party trick. Even funnier considering I was super heavy at the time so when I told people I could do it they were convinced my body couldn't possibly be aerodynamic enough.
So yeah: thank you Jean Claude van Damme for being awesome.
He's no Nic Cage, but back in the 90's he was a pretty solid pick for action martial arts movies when I was a kid.
never seen it but i did like the guy in sense8 who loved him so im kinda an expert
