:kermit-pain: The great philosopher of our time

Trying to frame it as a health issue is such a bizzare way to claim a moral high ground. Modelling has never been about health, like do you really think Kate Moss in the 90s was healthy just because she wasn't overweight? It's purely about what you find, and more importantly think other people should find, attractive.

Love all the sedentary nerds whining about glorifying obesity from the gamer chairs they've fused with

Yet he's the one saying there's some authoritative push to change what people find attractive. In reality, people find all sorts of things attractive, but for people like JP, there's a correct set of beauty standards

Modelling has never been about health

Doing enough coke to kill a horse while fucking your coworkers raw during the height of the AIDS epidemic could technically be described as "about health".

Seriously so fucking weird. And he's sixty years old! Nobody should care what gets you horny except your partner(s) dude, least of all your children.

She's just as much of a grifter as he is, and damn well knows their audience.

no you see we evolved to put a certain type of woman on the cover of magazines, and you can test for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit gene in the womb

"Not everyone's a sports illustrated model"

My man she was chosen by the magazine editors to be on the cover. She accomplished the thing so she's by definition a sports illustrated model. You're the one who's upset and its hilarious.

Oh he thinks exploitation for money is fine, he's upset about exploitation from some very nebulous abstract conspiracy pushed by French philosopher professors that somehow forces innocent people to be trans and attracted to models with wide hips. For some reason.

Wide hips - traditionally not found attractive in women. God that guy is such a worm.

Something tells me the people in the replies wouldn’t exactly measure up to their own standards of beauty… :thonk:
