It also includes language that suggests this is a pretext to start actual serious conversations about secession.
...I'm genuinely concerned about my future in this state comrades.
Edit: i've lived in Texas the majority of my life so I am fully aware that republican idiots talk about about secession ever other day or more and have as long as I've been alive. But as far as I'm aware this hasn't been in their official platform and the fact that this is combined with their statement on Biden tells me this is a measure or two more serious than idiot tough guy talk.
On the one hand, Texas secession will definitely harm and endanger the vulnerable people who live there — people of color and queer people (esp trans people) in particular
On the other hand, the collapse of the US is inevitable and Texas secession seems like the thing most likely to kick off its balkanization
I wish we could skip to the part where the US has collapsed without all the suffering that will happen between now and then
We gotta be there to keep our people safe and stop fascism from gaining ground. It would be nice to skip the horror but a lot of people will suffer if we're not there for them.
Im gonna be real with you, when ever the real fascists take over be it next election or if they succeed to remove Biden from office next year, dark days are coming the question now is how will the fascist state handle this? Civil War maybe? A war with another super power? Will this be the end? Will they just use the nukes when they inevitable lose?
President Xi please repurpose at least 8000 hypersonic missiles into ICBM interceptors for the sake of the rest of humanity's survival
But how would this happen. Texas can't support a military of the size that it would want.
Deputizing local chuds into brown shirt militias.
Texas draft 🤷♀️
