Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy II were both directed by Guillermo del Torro, are both beautiful, well-made movies and are both worth watching. it's just that one is action shlock with wonderful things like forest gods in it and the other is a surrealist parabola with wonderful things like dead nazis in it.
I don’t think it’s better but I do enjoy marvel movies more than I enjoy pans labyrinth. I respect Pans Labyrinth a lot, but I personally did not like it all that much and didn’t have fun watching it.
