I don't think he's as bad as people act like on the Internet. He's a religious nutjob, yes, but he's probably not doing any sex crimes or anything like that. He's also not like J.K. Rowling, intentionally making himself the face of hatred, he seems to mostly keep his home life and views to himself.
I think people are just really mad at him because of the dark side of parasocial relationships. When the illusion is broken that the person is not the same person that their mind made them out to be, it amplifies the bad things about them (for examples of this, see r/RantGrumps or r/CinemassacreTruth).
They'll make up all sorts of reasons, but honestly, the real reason is that his videos aren't as good as they used to be, and he's phoning it in for money.
I’ve always just found him to be a bland and uninteresting actor who will get to star in 40 movies every year because of Parks and Rec goodwill. A face to Hollywood corporate blandness if you will
i don't hate pratt or his acting because he generally keeps his mouth shut about the weird shit he believes, but he's definitely not a good guy to feel that GOD is giving him the thumbs up for being homophobic and whatnot
