I found that saying I was born on the cusp got me more dates because I appeared compatible with two signs instead of one.
"That's him! That's the guy who's saying he's a "cusper" to pick up astrology girls!"
That's kinda dickish ngl.
There is a difference between not respecting the bullshit and using their belief in the bullshit to manipulate someone
Okay, that's exaggerating the size of the fish territory I guess
you should absolutely mock them and call them stupid at minimum. they need to be bullied
then they come back to you a week later like "i talked to your parents and you're actually adopted and they lied about your birthday"
My wife tried to pull that on me last night when we were drinking.
We don't believe in astrology, but she purposefully read me the wrong thing to see if I would be like "that's so me!"
I didn't bite.
Horoscopes are one of the many reasons I feel uncomfortable within a lot of queer spaces
i always insult them and call them bigoted pieces of shit :shrug-outta-hecks:
amount of times that people have used horoscopes to be transphobic without saying the words are high enough that we basically banned it at our community center
Checks out, yeah.
Birth dates have the mystical power of letting cis people be transphobic, feels almost like the metaphor of giving a fairy your true name or something
yep. also apparently me and my bf have separate signs so we're doomed to fail even though i love him more than life itself
if i was a small minded idiot like them i would have ruined my life by not being with my bf, he's really awesome
Generally agree but
i love him more than life itself
I hope you learn to love life itself more :)
i mean yeah its a metaphor, id say its an equal amount of love :thinkin-lenin:
smh, typical Taurus talk. Willful and loyal, with a tendency to throw up Check Engine lights for spark plug misfire codes.
I always try to make people guess based on my personality, and they never seem to be able to :thinkin-lenin:
"I'm sorry, the construct of time does not apply to me, I have and will always, be." :arm-L::meow-shining::arm-R:
Learning thousands of years of extremely complex non-Western astrology to condescend on the horoscope readers.
chucking bones at them and ripping open a bird's entrails to read them. absolute chad flexing on liberal plebs
There's something to it.
It's just modern humans humans are completely disconnected from that old realm that we used to live with it.
I used to think that way. Than i moved to a much more rural area and started to notice many things.
Also I'm a legit virgo. The description is my actual personality. So that changed my mind also
Or just not be so sheltered and sure of your self.
Btw all i did was read what a Virgo was and know my self at my age well enough to go well ill be damned that's me.
That's my extent of astrology.
I have no other real knowledge of it
You only think there is something to it because humans love finding patterns where there are none.
That doesn't mean that the fucking stars control how human beings behave.
It also doesn't mean that if you see a pattern, it is actually a pattern and not noise your brain is making into a pattern because human brains tend to find patterns in noise.
Nature is literally nothing but patterns. But you can think what you want.
Sounds like what a hominid with a pattern seeking obsessed brain would say
Lol. You sound really disconnected from the planet. But almost all modern Americans are.
Not the real problem with the disconnection of americans being a lack of astrology, thats for sure
Americans have no connection to nature. Thats what I'm saying.
Lol. Once again
I don't follow astrology and know nothing about it.
I was going back and forth because i thought the guy was arguing that nature has no scientific patterns. And what he thought i was saying is that since there is scientific proof that nature has patterns than i am trying to equate that to astrology being real. Which I'm not.
I'm also not saying that it's not real. Cuz i don't know. But i don't base my habits on where the moon is
Oh, I dont see patterns in tea leaves and tarot cards, I must need to touch grass.
Maybe you need to learn to enjoy nature without projecting your mystical nonsense onto it.
Because your ideas are insulting to what limited agency humans actually have
Theres whole books, articles, scientific pursuit of studying nature and it's actual patterns.
To repeat:
You’re falling into a really simple logical error here.
Just because patterns exist doesn’t mean everything you observe as a pattern is actually a pattern.
Just because, for example, trees branch in a specific pattern, does not mean there is a pattern that explains your personality based on whether Mars was waning when you were born.
I don't follow astrology.
I read what a Virgo was. Went hey that lines up with me. And that was the end of it. When I say nature is patterns, I'm literally meaning in the scientific sense that nature is patterns. That waves have a pattern to them that birds roost in the same tree every night that sea turtles go back to the beach. They were born at that humpback whales go back to the same bay that they gave birth at every year. That's what I'm saying when I mean nature. Is patterns not astrology.
Sorry i should of made it clear that i don't actually follow astrology.
But also getting upset by it is really a waste of energy
You're falling into a really simple logical error here.

Yeah . Most have been figured out beyond any doubt ,confirmed through experimentation and and expressed in really beautiful ways. It's called physics
extremely well adjusted comments section lol
also, saying you’re the wrong sign is such a virgo thing to do 💁♀️
So if I have two birthdays, one official government documented birthday and the other is my real birthday in which I was born in, which one should I give to people :trump-anguish: do not ask how
