Peterson is a moron who gets fundamental parts of theology wrong pretty often. Coincidentally, the parts he gets wrong are the parts that most conservatives never really bother with, so it kind of makes sense. Hard to read the bible and come away with any sort of good feeling towards the freaks who he represents.

The "seven deadly sins" actually aren't mentioned in the Bible. There are four things specifically mentioned as "sins which cry out to heaven for vengeance", two of which are shared my Marxists, oppression of the poor and exploitation of wage labor. The other two are murder and non-procreative sex.
