Genuinely asking. I got banned from r/LateStageCapitalism once for asking for clarification.
I got banned from LateStageCap for calling Ayn Rand a removed on r/socialism
Nah, chapo doesn't take itself too seriously. Just make sure your history doesn't imply you're acting in bad faith when you ask such questions. Read the book recommendations on the megathread. I'd also recommend asking these questions in the right communities, like philosophy. I'm not a mod tho, have a good look at the Code of Conduct down below.
Geez, I hope this post doesn’t make it look like I’m operating in bad faith.
I got banned from LateStageCapitalism too. They took a real leftcom turn once the MLs got purged.
Oh holy shit that explains it. I was in there the other day and saw one of the mods jump all over someone for a perfectly ordinary leftist comment that any one of us would have upvoted, and the mod's reply was completely incomprehensible to me. I couldn't tell if I just needed to read more theory of if I had taken acid. I should have known it was a leftcom.
Haven't noticed any of that yet, and the mods/admins seem pretty open about changing the rules
class first socialism
I don't think that is frowned upon so much as soley class focused "socialism" that thinks being able to edgy is more important than minorities feeling safe
