I thought his gun fired pin ball balls. That would mean that there is no spread, so he wouldn't hit everyone in a cone. Though I imagine it was a bit of luck that no one was standing directly behind Abe, since I cannot imagine his body stopped or even significantly slowed down that heavy a projectile.

First shot misses completely.

Bodyguard tries to block the second shot with a bulletproof briefcase but the shot hits the case and doesn't give a fuck suggesting it has a lot of mass as it completely pushes the briefcase out of the way.

Shot hits Shinzo and comes out the front of him, you can see his suit move when it does and he looks down at the wound before collapsing.

Didn't you see the videos? It looks like he got pretty close. There were people standing right next to him, IIRC you can see one person's clothing flapping from the second blast

Was he actually a good politician? Where does he come in on political scale of Vladimir Putin and Boris Johnson?
His two big goals were to unfuck the Japanese economy and repeal or amend Article 9 of the Japanese constitution (the pacifism clause).
Japan's economy is currently more fucked than ever and Article 9 remains in place.
