No doubt, L'Internationle's message and lyrics are 1000x better.
But that Soviet beat is a banger.
The English version of the Soyuz anthem by Paul Robeson will forever be a favorite. What a voice he had! Plus I just love the line "united forever in friendship and labor."

I'll never forgive my US public education for not teaching me about Paul Robeson
Hard Disagree, L'Internationale is just better sung with smaller forces than the Red Army choir. As a solo it goes hard.
Also a mention of one of my favourites, the Einheitsfrontlied By Bertolt Brecht and Hans Eisler, the same guy that composed the DDR anthem (which goes extremely hard and is possibly my favourite anthem)
Soviet anthem is meant to be played by a massive orchestra and soar through the highs and lows of Soviet life.
L'internationale is meant to be sung in crowds, and has a more revolutionary spirit.
