    Come on. You've given no indication that this dude is a bigot. You have to be a TERF to like Harry Potter and Drake? There's a very real possibility he doesn't even know what JK Rowling looks like.

      Definitely plenty of based friends of mine that are still begrudging Harry Potter fans, while recognizing all the issues with the work and Rowling. If consider being a Drake fan way more suspicious, mostly because his music is obscenely uninteresting and Drake is personally rather problematic.

      I guess my point was that the dude is a total chud.

      I can tell you from personal experience being raised by a right wing asshole father is damaging.

      I don’t think he is irredeemable and want to arm myself with arguments to at bare minimum reduce his transphobia so that at least one member of the future generation is less damaged.

      I recognize how this stance could be arrogant or nosy, but I’m not exactly in position where I have many chances to improve….anything. Idk maybe despair is exacerbating my asshole tendencies

    Phrasing in the body is bad: mt point is he is gonna raise a kid. I want to influence him so that the kid is raised by a dad that is friendly to trans people rather than his current state

    ok well she's an objectively terrible writer.

    She's so overrated that she's a bajillionaire fraud author...maybe her opinions on other things would also be overrated by a factor of one bajillion.

    I was like 14 years old when I realized she was a fraud. I read literally any other book and compared the two.
