Yeah Rogue One was a good spinoff. It looked beyond the larger-than-life characters of the main trilogies, and made the world feel more alive, rather than just a space opera.

It can be criticised for not expanding the scope of the universe, but that wasn’t really its goal. Its purpose was to deepen the scope that we already have.

In a sense it was the most down-to-Earth of all the movies. It showed the sheer amount of unseen sacrifice driving the Viet Cong Rebels.
