I am once again requesting a hexbear wiki where we can collect information like this all in one place once and for all.

I don't have the skills to do this or know if it could be hosted on the same server, but I would be happy to write a few articles :meow-floppy:

In fact I have a few already started in obsidian notebook on my computer lol

If you have a GitHub account, git.chapo.chat has the ability to create repositories with wikis

If you could write up and post to the hexbear wiki a wiki-style article about how I can use this information to create a hexbear wiki I would be very grateful :meow-floppy:

What good was the rule if it got us here?

Liberal Chigurh: Don't put it in your pocket, sir. Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky ballot.
Gas Station Guy: Where do you want me to put it?
Liberal Chigurh: In the ballot box. Where it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a ballot. Which it is.

the article today about how Chuck Schumer is like "we're probably not gonna vote on gay marriage before recess" is kind of evidence of that. Like they could literally protect the rights of millions, right now, but they'd rather go on vacation for a few weeks. Sure hope they don't put it off until past the election, when the republicans win and fuck everything up even more

also the rail strike thing, like Biden could help working people through any number of executive orders, and yet he chooses to... crush a union while feigning helplessness over every other aspect of domestic policy

even a lot of "progressive" libs are carceralist, but this shit is still incredibly eye opening. Like just to be confronted with the fact that the Black Lives Matter movement has made almost zero impact on the American justice system because it was subsumed by a white supremacist party.

But they're trying so hard you guys 🥺🥺🥺 It's just stinky old Joe Manchin, and once we :vote: him out the Democrats will give us everything we want 🥰

Oh, you actually managed to oust Manchin and replace him with a progressive?

Shame that stinky ol' Sinema is here to continue stopping all the progressive legislation that we totally want to do.

No we can't replace Joe Manchin because he's the best West Virginia can do! We need to replace GOP Senators with any sort of Democrat, even if they are another Joe Manchin.

    Sorry for double-commenting

As a low-effort addition, I'll remind you that this list exists:

    https://github.com/dessalines/essays/blob/master/us_atrocities.md

So you can go through this looking at events starting from about the '70s, looking at all the wacky adventures Dems were involved in, e.g. Obama having Grenada coup'd

But this is more specifically the kind of thing you seem to be looking for:

    https://www.btrtoday.com/read/featured/nancy-pelosi-knew-bush-lied-about-iraq/

Also just get anything you want about Obama's bank bailouts, since that one is very widely reported.

did you mean Reagan because I don't see that in the list

Oh, I was just speaking offhand because the list is pretty extensive, but I guess it is missing things.

You're going to collect a list of ways that the dems are as bad as republicans and it's going to accomplish nothing because the argument you're trying to overcome accommodates for that. If you want to discredit that argument your burden is to show that there are no ways in which the democrats are better. And there are measurable ways they are. This is a useless exercise.

    here's proof

    • Democrats doing the "pied piper" strategy to help Trump win the primaries then losing to him in the general
    • not learning their lesson and doing the same thing again 7 years later

The Ratfucking of Bernie Sanders during the democratic primaries was super obvious to watch in real time (speaking as a non-yank looking in), but I think it'd be hard to part that curtain of brainworms since you'll just immediately get pegged as a Bernie bro wrecker who's the real cause of the country's collapse

Otherwise, quote endless stats about Obama's drone strikes and civilian casualties. Bury them with raw data.

There’s been so much revisionism about Bernie too. Talk to the 538 crowd and he was never a front runner, Biden was always a popular contender, and everyone dropping out to endorse Biden had nothing to do with Bernie. In fact, Bernie almost made Biden lose to Trump because he didn’t concede sooner

Watching it happen was agonizing, but what was worse was how so few people noticed.

It's what convinced me that not just liberals, but the average news consumer in America is spoonfed to be broken. It happened so blatantly and people were not even phased.

Also the smug reaction to it from neo-liberal co-workers was stunning because they knew it was lies and they smiled because they didn't care if they cheated. They cry foul when Republicans do it but when put up against anything remotely left, liberals turn into crooked mobsters.

That said, I hope they blame me. I want them to know that until they comprimise with me, they won't taste power. It should be easy for them after all, they do it with the Republicans all the time. :capitalist-laugh:

(speaking as a non-yank looking in)

:wtyp:, you don't have the ecosystem of brainworms unique to the American brain. Fisher's Capitalist Realism didn't even begin to scratch the surface of what it's like here. People thought Biden was for M4A.

lmao. In 2015 I had the exact thought of "why are these liberal media outlets covering Trump so much? It just makes him more popular if anything"

Now we find out that they literally wanted that to happen.

What are the odds that Hilary knew she was going to lose? We already know Dems' role is to keep the left confused and maintain rightward momentum, but how far does that role really go?
