Yeah, the line has moved from when they started. Original Lego had a yellow castle because they didn't want kids to make tanks from grey parts. They now have made the WW1 plane set and a few Lego Nazi minifigures from Indiana Jones, although without any explicit imagery.
I do distinctly remember seeing a Sopwith Camel and Red Baron set in a Lego catalog though... Did they change something there?

I mean they also have pirate ships and medieval castles, all depicting top of the line weapons of their time.
