Are humans just too stupid for their own good? It hasn't even been 50 years since AIDs. Hell, people have not evolved whatsoever ever since the Salem Witch Trials. Somehow being a "based chad who doesn't care what other people think" is just mindlessly conforming to groupthink ever since the aforementioned Salem days.
Scratch that, humans are not stupid, they are evil. Any wrongness in their belief is worth it as long as non-conformists get killed for not being conformists.
