I, John Brown, am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away, but with blood.

At the conclusion of this amazing event (remember it was Bernie’s first back from his heart attack, for which AOC visited him in the hospital) I was walking across the street to my bicycle. See Michael Brooks but at first it doesn’t registers, just a sort of familiarity. He smiles and starts moving in my direction for a moment. But I’ve got the kid with me and the crowd is pulsating, so I just give him the thumbs up and call out for him to keep doing what’s he’s doing. Kind of wished I had stopped. Miss him lots.

Yeah, the crowd size of Bernie’s rallies in both 2016 and ‘20 are irrefutable evidence of his clear dominance over all candidates. I mean, no Dem since Obama had that kind of gravitas and clout. Only Drumpf had it also. And those candidates win. They don’t lose.

Trying to convince the goons on r/politics of this is such a chore when they’re so fucking delusional about it. When this shit comes up I like to contrast the day that Bernie spoke in the S Bronx (which I was also at) Her was at a small college upstate speaking at an auditorium to 500 people (mostly rich Neoliberal alum), 50 of whom were students who stood up in a coordinated protest and said, “if she wins we lose” - and walked out. It’s like politics 101 that the candidate who can consistently draw these kinds of crowds means he/she energizes (electrifies) the voting electorate. To say nothing of the record-breaking amount of small donations, thereby circumventing the bribery of corporate “donations” that is the crux of American governance, or the fact that for years running he was by far the most popular Congressmen.

Taibbi was just taking about this in an interview just recently. How there was really what could only be described as unspoken collusion between the press who knew she was having a problem turning out people to not report it. But it was considerable news that your average MSM-watching bourgeois Neoliberal didn’t want to know about. It was a certain bellwether of what would happen.
