Automoboids seething because they have to pay attention while driving and not recklessly cross into occupied lanes
One thing I always find funny is when I'm driving and stop to let boomer pedestrians cross (always crossing from a carpark to a business) and every time they will refuse to cross the road until I drive past like they are peasants kneeling before a lord.
Exactly.
If you aren't from murica I'd advise you to angrily get out the car and scream them "YOU DON'T KNOW THE FUCKING LAW YOU OLD FART, PEDESTRIANS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY. I NEED TO STOP FOR YOU. IF YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO KNOW THIS WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU IN THE STREETS"
man i always just let the car pass because i dont want to die
you can be absolutely right and still flat as a pancake
Damn, I have to slow down a little for 5 seconds until this white car passes to give these bicycles some space. My day is ruined.
You wouldn't even need to do that; the lane is plenty wide enough anyway, and the white car is affording extra space besides, probably specifically because of the cyclists.
how dare they... be in the bike lane? definitely a situation that calls for getting out your cell phone while driving.
i know it hurts a lot of the wrong people, but rising gas prices are really the only thing that might create the desire to change transportation infrastructure. and frankly, our economy is always hurting the wrong people anyway. i just want all of the people like the person who tweeted this to go to hell and i want to be there pissing in their face.
:joker-troll:
counterpoint: a person in a cheaper car has the right to cut you off at any time
How am i supposed to measure my humanity against another person if I don't know what they drive??? What if I accidentally shake hands with a Subaru person?
What if I accidentally shake hands with a Subaru person?
I'm sorry, but you are gay now. Please report to the nearest Subaru dealership for your Outback.
I wish that was all it took to get a Subaru
They hate cyclists because paint isn't meaningful infrastructure when they should despise their car centric cities and country because paint isn't infrastructure.
They hate cyclists for...taking up their whole lane?
I doubt they could even imagine the hatred I feel for them, taking up vast swathes of useful land for their fucking abominations and their roads and their fucking parking lots.
"Goddamnit, I can't believe how inconsiderate cyclists are about taking up space. My raised, coal-rolling, wide stanced, mud tired, dually of a pick up truck (with the extra wide side mirrors of course) is measured precisely. I NEED those centimeter(s) or I won't fit" :frothingfash:
The only grumble I have with bikes is that a lot of cyclists seem to think stop signs don't apply to them.
I'm just speaking as a pedestrian. I'm sure its probably safer than stopping completely and getting rear-ended by a Buick, but it still makes me kind of salty when I'm trying to cross a side street crosswalk and get buzzed by a cyclist going faster than the cars.
In at least some places they don't, it's like that where I live. It's counterintuitive but apparently it is actually safer that way, or at least so I've been told, though tbh I still don't really get it
The etiquette when in a crossroads is keep cycling over the pedestrian crosswalk.
