Not the most dignified of exits, but any off-ramp’s an off-ramp.

what kind of absolute fucking moron do you need to be to be as rich as these fucks are and still get a DUI? it is just beyond my understanding. Why the fuck wouldn't you just get an uber? I know why I wouldn't, because I'm not made of fucking money, but for these fucks it would be a drop in the fucking bucket

forget uber, this guy can employ an entire staff of drivers to have himself covered 24/7 and it would effectively be the same price as an uber for him

It'd probably be cheaper relatively lol

Like let's say I have 1000 dollars in the bank. One 20 dollar Uber ride is me using 2% of my wealth then.

Now the Pelosi's are worth around 200 million. So unless they can find a way to spend 4 mill on transportation then, relatively, it'd be cheaper than an Uber for most people

          :bourgeoisie: :proletariat:

they do, they just don't give a fuck. and depending on how much he'll be charged for this DUI, paying the fine may be cheaper than hiring a chauffeur.

I think when you are as miserable an existence as a Pelosi, you've got nothing left but to get off on this kind of thing. The same thing that drives her to roll the dice on a nuclear war is the same thing that drives him to risk maiming himself and others.

At this level of wealth they could probably hire some kind of plane/helicopter uber we've never heard of. Trying to rationalise it any other way might just drive you mad

When you're allowed to do anything, what you want to do are break taboos. But there are so few taboos left for you to violate. Thus you have to go to abusive or murderous extremes to get off. That's what this is about.

That's easy: it's about control, and being above the law.

They love love love control. Driving a car is all about control. When driverless cars arrive, they'll rage because the destination must be approved by the Central Computer before you can be allowed to go there. Tough shit.

Driving drunk and being above the law is another. American aristocracy can drive drunk into a lake, abandon the car, not call for rescue, let the woman inside to die a slow death by drowning, and suffer no legal consequences like we would if we had done the same. I don't know what's gone wrong in this case, maybe Pelosi pissed off the wrong local official. We'll probably never know the real story.

Driving really is all about control. That’s why in male/female relationships you see so often the man driving the woman around. Even if she knows the way better and it’s her car, there’s still this thing with a lot of people where the man drives.

        Sorry off topic

If anything she'll start a nuclear war to bury the negative headlines.
