I still haven't done much research on that shitshow of a war, but my understanding is that pretty much all sides were guilty of atrocious shit and NATO intervention made literally everything worse. He sounds like a standard "actually my side are the only good guys" chauvinist.

Mostly because class consciousness and class struggle is struggling to be reborn, while geo-politics is up and getting itself juice from the fridge. Also, getting a multi-polar world, regardless of the consequences, is likely a win for the global working class, at least a net neutral.
I, for one, think it would be better for the international proletarian movement if the US could no longer do Holocausts on anyone who wants out from under its thumb.
