hearing "who watches the watchmen" and deciding that the point of the phrase is actually that you're supposed to establish an organization that watches the watchmen :galaxy-brain:

You laugh, but Internal Affairs has been a thing for at least half a century.

But I'm old enough to remember when "Clinton Cash" was on the FBI's book club list and every Republican thought James Comey was their best friend. Its so crazy to watch Republicans turning on an institution they have absolutely dominated since its inception, because it isn't conservative enough.

Also, in further circumstantial evidence that ACAB, cops sure do seem to fucking hate internal affairs.

i mean this kind of take is going around a lot and i dont think its hypocritical tbh theyre pretty much just nakedly saying they want even more openly fascist institutions that give up even the pretense of impartiality.

They vote for the Leopards Eating Faces Party knowing that there's no way leopards will eat THEIR faces.

these types of dinguses are sycophants that will cackle with glee as the leopards eat their faces lol, as long as their leaders are winning and above reproach they'll count that as a win while the actions of those leaders grind them into dust. I have family like this, all they care about is their team winning the culture war regardless of whats happening to them materially from it.

It isn't even a Viking beard. Most men need to sculpt their facial hair with a blow-dryer to get it to look that neat.

Why does that make it not a Viking beard? The Vikings were known for their excellent personal hygiene.

I still can't believe straight-up knock-off twitter with the same exact UI--but it's for even worse takes than regular twitter--is a real thing that exists.
