      This actually is true with my younger relatives and certain words, and they're from Louisiana. They say radio, mirror, people, figure, and a bunch of other words all British and it's definitely because of Peppa Pig lmao. I also caught one of them once saying "post box" when referring to a mail box. Except I think it's kind of charming.

      British kids show Teletubbies was all dubbed over with newly recorded American accents when broadcast in the US a couple of decades ago. Weird xenophobia against other anglo countries in children's television has been a thing in the US for a long time.

        They did that with Spot the Dog and some BBC documentaries. Strangely enough, Kipper the Dog and Oswald the Octopus kept their accents.
