    This made me laugh.

Users frequently leverage TikTok features to add commentary to his posts in mocking ways. After the campaign posted a video of Mr. Biden criticizing Mr. Trump, saying, “Over my dead body will he cut social security,” some users responded with videos that called attention to the president’s age — receiving more views than the original.

So far the article doesn't have many comments. This is third from the top.

I was in grad school during 9/11 and through the invasion of Iraq. In the run up to the war we marched almost every weekend across California. There were tens of thousands of us across the US, and the scale of those global protests paled in comparison to the unprecedented magnitude of the protests happening every week demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

What this administration appears to not understand is that young people do not see a Democrat in power they way the Boomer generation does. They see what we saw 20 years ago: an extremely violent group of war hawks funding a horrific massacre, almost identical to the war on Iraq. Add TikTok to this mix and just forget it: they will simply not vote for what they see. I wouldn’t either if I was 25 today.

The ultimatum from the youth vote is very simple: force a ceasefire in Gaza now, or lose to Trump in November. This was also true a month ago but thanks to Michael Moore and the Uncomitted vote in Michigan, the White House has partially woken up to that reality. But they have very little time left, just like the children of Gaza do. And young people will have no problem whatsoever staying home and watching Biden lose. Biden better wake up to that fact, and quick.

Who tf thought it would be a good idea to post that?

They can't do it folks. The people, beautiful people, they come to me and they say "I think these Democrats need to stop with the genocide or they're gonna lose the youth vote." And they're right, folks they know what they're talking about because I talk to the smartest people, but I tell them, listen, the age of imperialism brings a nasty, nasty cloud of irrationality to the imperialist nations, and they'll swallow themselves whole before they stop, believe me, they walk towards their own destruction with their eyes on the floor following a trail of gold. And that nasty irrationality, many people criticize it, I tell them it can be a wonderful thing. They say "we're suffering, the people are suffering across the world" and I go, look, it's true, but we know that present conditions are not eternal. There was a guy who said they were, he said "nothing will ever change", and folks, we know his name don't we. He was WRONG.

if I was Joe Biden's campaign staff, I'd be making my best fucking effort to avoid doing anything that would put "Biden" and "TikTok" in the same headline

TikTok will become digital Russian oil. "Banned" but still being bought at inflated prices through a middle man.

"The kids love the Tiktok. They love it. Snappy. Fast. Quick and powerful. So I bought it. Because I love America and young people. Who doesn't love young people? They are young, sexy, attractive. And they know Biden is very bad. Very bad. Why would young people vote for that?"

      ---

Seriously though - I'd love that outcome. MSNBC, etc would have to dedicate so much stuff to show how young people must see the light and vote for Tired Old Genocide Joe and not for the guy that literally saved one of their favorite sites. For MSNBC the messaging is going to be an uphill climb though. The average age of MSNBC viewers is 68.

No we definitely care about his age too as his dementia makes him even more dangerous

His dementia definitely makes him useless in dealing with any foreign power. Can you imagine having to talk to this guy about anything? Trust him? Or listen to anything he says? They might be polite to his face but as soon as he's out of the room you know they're talking shit and ignoring anything that came up in the meetings.

Even if the content of a meeting is actually correct him being the one presenting it is actively detrimental because he won't be taken seriously when he is clearly a doddery old man that should be in a nursing home.

Also him being an old and decrepit ghoul who could drop dead at any moment kind of adds to the excitement.

I'm trying to think about what else Biden can do to further kill his chance at the youth vote and aside from shooting Mr Beast dead during a live stream I'm really drawing a blank.

Maybe a stupid question that kills the joke but it is sincere: I only know Mr Beast is a YouTuber who is extremely popular with some younger people and annoys everyone else, but isn't his demographic still too young to vote? Like, I was under the impression he was popular with kids younger than mine, who is a junior in HS.

Yeah you could definitely be right but afaik his target demographic is tweens to mid twenties.

He's been at it for over a decade yet got big around 2018ish. So tweens that watched him when he first started getting popular would be around voting age now.
