    well that makes sense the character's lifestyle makes more sense in a younger man. I'd imagine reaching 50 and still being sent on killing jobs rather than working managing agents is not a sign of a florishing career either for a fed

      Especially for someone who made Line Commander in the RN, being stuck as a solo field agent in the first place rather than being the guy sending in the SAS at the climax seems like a serious career implosion.
