    There's definitely plenty of evidence of conspiracy theory as a method of social destabilization. And there's evidence that the CIA uses every tool to destabilize enemy states and organizations.

    But you run into some contradictions when you try to blindly assert that any given conspiracy is a CIA conspiracy.

    If nothing else, you've got to account for the FBI

    they sometimes declassify old docs that can be eye opening in regards to their own behaviour

    like its been a while but im pretty sure theyve already admitted to something similar

      Yeah, I remember hearing they admitted to encourage conspiracy theories for plausible deniability of their own conspiracies, but I don't have evidence for this and am too lazy to look it up

      Jakarta Method talks about a few specific ones used in the third world.

      Aberration in the Heartland of the Real is about McVeigh and provides some fruit for thought that's tangentially related. Particularly interesting is federal involvement in UFO conspiracy groups.
