Seeing someone basically transition via YouTube was hugely influential for a ton of people, including a closeted alcoholic me, she isn't internet famous for nothing. Alison's article on it is alright, I remember reading it a while back and thinking it was driving a little too hard at trying to simplify multiple complex phenomena into a single idea.
Her stuff on trans issues was really meaningful to me and a bunch of other people I know, her politics has always been dogshit.
