I really liked Prey so I'm hopeful that this movie will at least be watchable, especially compared to the majority of the other Hellraiser "sequels"

I had no idea there were so many. I thought there were only like 5-6.

they start to get bad after the second one, but I think after part 4 they get terrible because they just started putting Pinhead into existing scripts that had nothing to do with him originally lol

There's one that's about a detective. Its like, the 6th movie or some shit. If you just ignore the "hellraiser" title, its pretty okay.

Because I want my suffering to be legendary, even in hell, I'm currently in the middle of watching through all of the crazy, stupid sequels to Hellraiser (well, i'd seen 2 before, because it's actually good) and they immediately start going off the rails into stupid (but often times fun) town starting with 3. Here's some fun highlights so far:

    • Pinhead stigmata-ing himself, striking the crucifixion pose, and saying "I am the way" so hard that it makes a church explode
    • Dax from DS9 fights Pinhead in the third one, as well as DJ, Video camera, and Bartender Cenobites
    • Vietnam flashbacks in 3 as well
    • 4 (Bloodlines) begins 100+ years in the future on a space station built as a giant trap to capture/kill Pinhead
    • Young Adam Scott as a sadistic French Aristocrat
    • The 5th film is directed by Scott Derrikson, who went on to make Sinister and Dr. Strange as well as the recent film The Black Phone. This one is basically Hellraiser meets Seven Not great, but you can see he has some directing talent.
    • The star of the 6th one is the guy who plays Dennis Duffy on 30Rock/Mayhem in the All-State commercials

The next two I have to watch were both made in 2005, one of them being the "gamer" Hellraiser about a bunch of MMORPG players getting Hellraisered due to a videogame called " Hellworld "
