AFAIK they're mainly upset cuz it's a massive spoiler. The screenshot only shows up at the end to give closure to xenoblade 2. It's also not really a "harem." It's more of a mainstream depiction of a healthy poly relationship. The screenshot doesn't feel forced to anyone who's played xenoblade 2 to the end.
If the game was like 'yeah these four characters ended up in a romantic relationship together' I'd probably roll my eyes a little but w/e but it's the simultaneous impregnating of the three women that pushes it into the fucking weird category for me.
ngl people keep saying XC3 is supposed to be "really good" but seeing that ending screenshot whole ass puts me off the entire game lmao it's such a weird combo of creepy fanservice and Shinzo Abecore (ripiss) that I'm just like.... Hey I don't think I'm the intended audience for this game
