You wanna bake a blue or pink cake or pop a a balloon, fine whatever. How much do you wanna bet the dad that did this is a major chud who's insecure in his masculinity? Probably told his wife he was only gonna do a gender reveal if he could do it with something "manly" like blowing shit up?

Not only does it hurt lgbt liberation, it also boxes men and women into a gender identity before they are even born. Even when a person is completely straight and cis it could hurt them in preventing them from expressing their full identity.

Me as a straight cis dude really struggled with being boxed into masculinity. My parents were awesome though, so I just got scented pink letter paper with cute cartoon mouses when I wanted that as a kid.

Parents just feel the need to jerk themselves off more than once all because he/they didn't pull out.

edit: i guess gender reveal parties can happen without sex but you get the point

I mean, there's baby showers for the women. Women have done parties for babies for ages. Gender reveal is just a new thing to include the dad's joy/despair over the gender.

My younger brother was at least born before this shit and my parents wouldn't have even done this. This was all a surprise for me.
