      well in my jurisdiction, calling someone a scab is basically illegal (even on a poster) and can lead to fines of tens of thousands of dollars for causing emotional distress and fear, so its more or less officially considered hate speech

            Courts have consistently ruled that Scabby is protected speech, which is nice even if the unions aren't as militant as is called for by the moment.

      scab is a slur, but a slur isn't necessarily a racial slur.
