The manliest men I know believe in communism and stand behind it despite social and political onslaught from all sides.

Honestly can't think of anything manlier than loving others and siding with the weakest of society against the strongest.

Real masculinity is when you fight for your right to have your surplus value endlessly exploited by some rich old fuck, and deflect blame to the weak and marginalized instead. Sorry Soycialists, thems the rules. :frothingfash:

One of the worst days of my life and the proudest was getting fired after submitting a letter of demands and getting so fucking close to a union vote.

This is just like how generational discourse is constant and evergreen. You even have Romans in the first century BCE complaining how kids these days are spoiled and soft, and are removed with their impiety, long hair, drugs, and partying.

"I can tell society is all downhill from here" - Roman Boomer

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households

      -Socrates (469–399 B.C.)

People have been complaining about the "downfall of society" or manners or w/e for likely longer than there has BEEN such a thing that we now recognize as society

I can't find it right now but I remember reading a quote by some ancient (possibly greek) philosophers about feminine men. Might have been Aristotle whos misogyny was legendary. He was essentially talking shit about men who choose to act like women who he saw as inferior beings.

    Headline one, 2020:

"The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence," she added. "It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men."

Quick to agree with Owens was her right-wing peer Shapiro, who argued on Monday, "Anyone who pretends that it is not a referendum on masculinity for men to don floofy dresses is treating you as a full-on idiot."

Toxic masculinity, yes. Arrogant, rude, selfish, and intentionally oblivious to the harm he does to the people he interacts with.

I think some of the stuff he’s made fun of for, like the whole holding up a single plank of poplar he bought, or having tried and abandoned many artistic endeavors, are actually the little less toxic parts of him that poke through. As if, because he claims to represent and understand the patriarchy, dunking on him for not living up to the patriarchal standard is fine because it’s a way of pointing out his hypocrisy.

I’m just not sure that’s serving the purpose everyone hopes it is. There’s plenty to criticize and make fun of that bigoted fuck for.
