Do you think there isn't a dialectic between the base and superstructure? Communist propaganda or memes have been upsurging because of material conditions, the propaganda then reaches people who realize the decline in conditions but have no idea what to do about it. Then they make more propaganda etc. I feel like I see this half-assed materialism on here a lot from people just looking to be smug. Culture fucking matters.
The real thing from there though is dissociating communism from just memes. Lots of people like the memes, but tell them you want a communist society when theyll respond that "communism is a meme"
