Help.
Body aches. headaches. Nausea. Light headed. Back aches. Weakness.
I went to school. Got the shot. Then went to work.
If this is the fucking vaccine then god damn do I not want the actual deal.
Getting the jab saves immunocompromised comrades. Your few days of suffering will save our lives.
I used to think “maybe I’m asymptomatic”.
As. Fucking. If.
I’m so fucking glad I haven’t caught covid yet. I would literally die.
You can get an antibody test if you've got a few tens of $ hanging out in a HSA/FSA or don't mind parting with it. Health insurance doesn't cover it. I haven't been vaccinated but I think the assays available at eg Quest/Labcorp are all for nucleoplasm antibodies and not spike protein subunit antibodies, so if you are vaccinated it won't give a false positive. But I'd double check, it wouldn't have affected my results but there should be info on their website.
That's the only way to know if you've had it if you were asymptomatic like I was.
Will the govt. compensate me for that :blob-no-thoughts:
Same, I got the booster and I was completely out of commission for like two days :agony-minion:
Why anyone would think getting covid is "worth it" to consoom more treats is beyond me.
Just today? If it makes you feel better I did that a couple of weeks ago and the only symptoms were mild body aches, not bad at all.
body pls also release endorphins and shit when you fighting bacteria/virus.
Same thing happened with me. First shot made me achey and feverish. Second knocked me out for a day. Third knocked me out for two days. Now they're telling me I can schedule another. I don't know if I can handle it.
Based on the UK data, I’d say at present boosters aren’t needed unless you’re at-risk or elderly
uh, there is no data that suggests this
This user has been posting antivax shit for a week, just ignore them and recover. you did the right thing comrade
All the boosters have been hell at me, but thank you for doing your part to protect people like me comrade.
In a perfect world some state agency would've tracked the experience of identical twins split between drug and control groups in a clinical trials, considering the scope and seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic. Alas we only have pre-clinical and bad clinical data without a real control group.
My country doesn't even offer the second booster, it's been like 8 months since my last one :bawllin-sad:
Every other time I’ve gotten the shot I’ve been able to rest. Maybe that reduced the symptoms (though I’d still feel shit for a few days). This time…by god am I not ready.
Someone come suck the vaccine out of my body.
I got mine last week and it was an ass kicker. Far worse than my second vaccine or first booster, but still not quite as bad as covid proper, where the aches and chills also came with coughs and sore throat, and lasted for a week, while the booster only lasted a day. Just power through it. Work will be a pain but you'll make it, and then as soon as you're done blast a doink and pass out
I had what I assume is BA5 just recently and I can assure you, the real thing is much worse. It lasts several days longer and is no less brutal than the worst of the vaccine, in my experience. (I haven't had the new booster yet, though, and now I apparently have to wait 3 months to get it, according to a doctor.)
I got my 2nd booster last week. same as you, sucked ass. at t+12 hours I was struggling to sleep with the chills/soreness.
I was alright, except tired about t+24-36hrs.
I think it might depend on how long since you've taken your last one. For me, the first booster was the worst with the second booster being more or less no side effects. However, I got the first two shots and the booster much closer and it was another year for the second booster.
Of course, I got Covid last New Years and only had a mild fever/shortness of breath for a day and then I was asymptomatic so ymmv.
