    Because they have never experienced an actual tyranny, they imagine that the democratically elected governments under which they live are themselves evil dictatorships conniving to take away their rights, whether that is the European Union or the administration in Washington.

    No, I'm quite certain that the regime in Washington is actively trying to strip people of their rights.
