The genocide continues. And no one cares. I'm so tired of waking up every day to some new bullshit where people like me are either getting legislated out of existence or blood libeled and bullied to death.

Legit how are we supposed to fight back against this when we have almost no allies?

Trans people have always existed, and they will always exist. No matter how hard they try, they can never destroy you. The human spirit will prevail. We will get through this.

They're going to keep bitching because their real goal is to destroy a communist country and they'll virtue signal about anything to make it look like a failure.

Ackshually you're not allowed to use that argument because that's whataboutism and invoking hypocrisy on me is a logical fallacy :expert-shapiro:

I love to be a joyless busybody who gets violently upset about anyone who looks or acts different than me and demanding the state make it illegal to not be as miserable as me

      :biden-alert: FreedomandDemocracy.

:fidel-wut: Uh! Freedom and Democracy! In this context, about this issue, in this part of the Americas, localized entirely within Idaho!?

      :biden-rember: Yes.

      :diaz-canel-troll: May we see it?

      :biden-troll: No.

I lived in Idaho for a while and yeah it's reactionary as fuck. It's a place where you can openly be a nazi, or pretend to be progressive mountain person while being nazi-lite. The police will pull you over for having long hair and try to search your car for no reason. Google image search BLM protest coeur d'alene. I went into a random music store there and the owner out of nowhere started ranting about how black people are ruining his town.

The drag obsession is so weird. It's popular in my heavily evangelical town as some kind of "freak show" that people pay to laugh at. Not exactly the best way to view it, but nobody's trying to ban it outright.

It's a way to make trans people illegal without acknowledging that they're actually trans people. It's not "You're a woman and we're making you illegal". It's "You're a man wearing womans clothes and we're making you illegal". Cause, you know, they're fucking Nazis.

It still baffles me just how bad parts of the US are with this stuff. I thought we were bad with our Evangelical government but the US somehow has us beat on that front

It sucks so much. I'm lucky enough to live in a blue state but I'm not sure for how much longer that'll protect me. Stay safe!

Right? I don't know what else to do but shrug, nervously laugh, and wait for it to be the whole country.

Idaho is consistently one of the most reactionary states. Fuck Idaho reactionaries in particular.

It's sickening the way that public bullying of an outgroup is and has always been a way to pander to the masses. I'm so mad that there's not a Hell.

There's an idea in Judaism that Heaven and Hell are the same place. Because a righteous person would want to spend the rest of eternity partying with God, whereas that same fate would be torture for a wicked person.

In the same way, fully automated luxury gay space communism would be heaven for most and hell for the reactionary.

I believe the parable is one in which everyone in Hell is bound hand-and-foot while surrounded by food. And the only implement they have is a spoon with a handle so long that they can't use it to feed themselves. So everyone in Hell is constantly starving.

Heaven is the same, but everyone is well-fed.

Pretty telling they didn't share the text of the law. This seems impossible to write in a way that doesn't make a bunch of other unintended stuff illegal.

I'm torn between incredulity at how are they even supposed to enforce this when I could buy jeans and a hoodie from the men's department, go sing karaoke in a bar, and technically be in violation of the law, and the bitter realization that the law will only be applied on a case by case basis and nobody would care about my "transgression" because they'd just see a lady in a hoodie and jeans. It might be interesting to point out the stupidity and hypocrisy, but that's not going to help visibly trans people in their daily lives. I just don't know what to say. This is bad.

Laws like this aren't about the language. They're about giving cops such broad latitude that they can harass anyone for pretty much any reason.
